We opened our first retail shop in 2021 in the Shimokitazawa neighborhood of Tokyo. On November 23, 2023, we opened “APFR KYOTO” in Kyoto. APFR Kyoto is our first directly-managed street-front store in the Kansai region. The store is nestled at an intersection deeply rooted in daily life and culture, where Nijo-dori, a once prosperous medicine street, meets Teramachi-dori, a street lined with antique and old buildings.

The spatial design of this 120-year-old Kyoto townhouse was renovated by phyle inc.—the same company that oversaw our current store—and aims for universal beauty that blends past with present. The concept of water and light is quiet and powerful, creating a space that enables you to sharpen your senses and focus your sense of smell.

On March 29th, 2024, we opened “APFR YOKOHAMA” at NEWoMan Yokohama. This is our first directly managed store in Yokohama area.

The store interior, which is designed to create a new fusion of Japanese and Western styles based on the image of the intersection of East and West in a port town where different cultures intermingle, is a carefully designed space that embodies the new world of APOTHEKE FRAGRANCE by using calm colors of Raitai stones and inorganic aluminum.
